A leading company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Professional Indemnity Insurance Underwriter for a full-time position in London, with the option for some remote work. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in underwriting for RICS and property-based professionals, along with a comprehensive understanding of the UK insurance market and exceptional underwriting expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Underwriting: Evaluate and underwrite professional indemnity insurance policies for RICS and property-based professionals, adhering to company guidelines and industry standards.
Risk Assessment: Perform detailed risk assessments and analyses to determine coverage, terms, and pricing for new and renewal business.
Portfolio Management: Develop and manage a profitable portfolio of professional indemnity insurance products, striving to meet company targets and uphold high-quality standards.
Client Interaction: Foster and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders, delivering exceptional service and support throughout the underwriting process.
Policy Documentation: Create accurate and comprehensive policy documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Training and Development: Mentor and support junior underwriters, sharing knowledge and expertise to promote continuous learning and professional growth.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on the performance of the underwriting portfolio, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary corrective actions.
Qualifications:

Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in Professional Indemnity Insurance Underwriting in the UK market, with specific expertise in underwriting for RICS and property-based professionals.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Professional Indemnity underwriting principles and practices.
Skills:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to deliver results under pressure and tight deadlines.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in the insurance industry. Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
