Job Title: Corporate & Commercial Solicitor

Location: Reading/Flexible/Home-Based
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 
Experience Level: Minimum 4 Years PQE (Required)

Our Client is a family run, modern law firm with a commercial approach offering expert legal advice to individuals and businesses. We believe our clients deserve a first-class service and we deliver that! An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Commercial Solicitor with 4 years+ PQE to join our team. In addition, you will be passionate about growing and developing our Commercial team and generating new business.

Day to day responsibilities
Building a good rapport with referrers and clients
Giving clients confidence to instruct Backhouse to solve their problems
Working on a varied caseload for our existing clients whilst establishing new client relationships within the local market
Ability to lead (or support) the growth of a successful commercial department
Working alongside the team to achieve monthly targets and KPIs
Growing the business – working with the rest of the team to develop new opportunities and communicating our message to attract new clients

Currently a Solicitor of 4 years+ PQE
Experience in Corporate and Commercial matters
Experience in management and business development is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Experience in M&As, corporate deals, shareholder agreements, management buy-ins/outs, restructuring, financing and general commercial work
You have commercial acumen so you can understand the needs of business clients
Excellent communication skills – confident, clear, articulate and welcoming
You take pride in what you do and provide the highest level of client service
A hard worker who wants to develop their legal career and progress quickly
A team player

Hours: Monday – Friday   9am – 5.30pm
